Specialty Coffee Consumption Reaches 13-Year High, Study Show

According to the National Coffee Association (NCA), specialty coffee consumption in the United States has reached a 13-year high, with 45% of American adults drinking specialty coffee in the previous day  

According to the full Spring 2024 National Coffee Data Trends report, 67% of American adults drank coffee in the last day, a two-decade high.  

Dig Insights performed a nationally representative poll and released it in collaboration with the Specialty Coffee Association (SCA), revealing that 66% of those aged 25-39 drank specialty coffee in the previous week, more than any other demographic.   

Specialty coffee drinkers consume more coffee than typical coffee drinkers, with an average of 2.8 cups per day against 1.8 cups. To address customer trends, brands are launching new ideas.  

The Espresso Style Iced Coffee range, packaged in 40-ounce bottles, is now available at Target and will be available in Walmart and Kroger with subsequent restocks.
