Pumpkin Spice Nails Aren't as Good as Lattes

Pumpkin spice nails were inevitable. Pumpkin season is here. Last Thursday was the first day of fall (ahhhh...sweater weather), so we can finally use pumpkin-scented lotions,

drink copious amounts of PSLs, enhance our cheeks with an orange glow, and tint our hair the ideal fall hue without feeling too soon.

Eventually, pumpkin spice would hit our fingertips, right? Thank goodness nail-art blogger twi_star—or "artist" Angel—took one for the team.

Angel genuinely covered her nails in pumpkin pie spice, not a brownish orange like PSL.

Let me explain pumpkin spice nails before you dash to the spice rack. With asthma, you may want to start with the first step.

1. Angel applied two coats of OPI Venice Nail Lacquer Collection in Perfect pumpkin orange Piazza Cake. It's pumpkin pie color, so decide if you want it on your nails. She added a topcoat—love it.

2. Angel used a fan brush to apply a dime-sized amount of McCormick Pumpkin Pie Spice to each nail while the topcoat was tacky.

We suspect she choked halfway through—she was coughing—so use a surgical mask if you try this technique. We're not kidding. Right, safety first?
