[Homemade] pepper jack and bacon egg

A homemade Pepper Jack and Bacon Egg Sandwich is a delicious and satisfying breakfast option that's perfect for starting your day off right.

The combination of crispy bacon, spicy pepper jack cheese, and a perfectly cooked egg creates a mouthwatering flavor explosion. Here's a detailed guide on how to make this scrumptious sandwich at home.

Ingredients: – 2 slices of your favorite bread (such as sourdough, whole grain, or an English muffin) – 2 slices of pepper jack cheese – 2-3 strips of bacon – 1 large egg – 1 tablespoon of butter – Salt and pepper to taste – Optional: avocado slices, tomato slices, or a handful of spinach for added flavor and nutrition

Stovetop Method: In a skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy, turning occasionally. This usually takes about 5-7 minutes. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

– Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Place the bacon strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or a wire rack. Bake for 15-20 minutes or until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. –

In the same skillet (or a clean one if you used the oven method for the bacon), melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium heat.

Cook the Eggs: – In the same skillet used for the bacon, add a bit of butter if needed. Crack the eggs into the skillet and cook them to your desired doneness (sunny-side-up, over-easy, or scrambled). Season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Sandwich: – On one slice of toasted bread (or the bottom half of a bagel), place the cooked bacon strips. – Carefully place the eggs with melted cheese on top of the bacon. – Add any optional toppings such as avocado or tomato slices.

Serve: – Cut the sandwich in half if desired and serve immediately while hot.
