Homemade  kimichi  Corn Dogs

Craving a delicious and fun twist on the classic corn dog? Look no further than these kimchi corn dogs! 


Ingredients: For the Kimchi Filling:½ cup kimchi, finely chopped 1 tablespoon grated onion 1 tablespoon cream cheese (softened) 1 teaspoon soy sauce Freshly ground black pepper (to taste)

For the Batter: – 1 ½ cups all-purpose flour – ½ cup cornstarch – 1 tablespoon sugar – 1 teaspoon baking powder – ½ teaspoon baking soda – ½ teaspoon salt

– 1 cup milk (cold) – 1 egg (beaten) – 1 cup panko breadcrumb

Other: – Hot dogs (cut in half, lengthwise, optional) – Wooden skewer – Vegetable oil (for frying)

Prepare the Kimchi Filling: – In a bowl, combine chopped kimchi, grated onion, softened cream cheese, soy sauce, and a sprinkle of black pepper. Mix well and set aside.

Make the Batter: – In a large bowl, whisk together dry ingredients: flour, cornstarch, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. – Create a well in the center and add cold milk and beaten egg. Whisk gently until just combined. Don't overmix!

– Place a dollop of the kimchi mixture along one side of a hot dog half. Roll the hot dog to enclose the filling. – Thread a wooden skewer through the center of the filled hot dog.

Serve and Enjoy! – Let the corn dogs drain on paper towels to remove excess oil. – Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces like ketchup, mustard, sriracha mayo, or a creamy gochujang aioli (Korean chili paste sauce).
